The Mothers' Union is a voluntary organisation with over 4 million members worldwide. We work with people of all faiths and none to bring Christian care to families of all kinds.
Please note all activities are currently suspended. This page will be updated as they restart.
This care is delivered through three steps as we:
PRAY for relationships to be flourishing and loving.
ENABLE development of all kinds, economic, relational and personal, so that family life is strengthened.
CAMPAIGN for social justice for those on the margins and for greater recognition of the values of stable family life.
Our vision is of a world where God’s love is shown through loving, respectful and flourishing relationships: a goal that we actively pursue through a focus on promoting marriage and building stable family life within local communities.
Our members are not all mothers, or even all women. They are single, married, parents, grandparents, or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. Mothers’ Union provides members with a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community through prayer, financial support and work at grassroots level to meet local needs.
St. Paul’s branch is 70 years old. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday each month (after the 10.00am Holy Communion Service) for a drink and a chat, and sometimes a visiting speaker. Branch Leader Sylvia Taylor.

The Mothers' Union Prayer
we thank you for your love so freely given to us all.
We pray for families around the world.
Bless the work of the Mothers’ Union as we seek to share your love
through the encouragement, strengthening and support
of marriage and family life.
Empowered by your Spirit, may we be united in prayer and worship,
and in love and service reach out as your hands across the world.
In Jesus’ name. Amen
